Patch to enable software update

If your server runs YACS 6.6, and if you have not been able to move to a more recent version, then try this patch.
YACS features a sophisticated mechanism to support easy updates, and this has been available for about two years. However, on version 6.6, this mechanism has been broken at some sites.

The patch provided on this page is aiming to circumvent this issue, and to allow for easy update to YACS 7.1.

Prerequisites

Server runs YACS version 6.6 or following, and the update process fails to complete.

Apply the patch before the update

Step 1 - Download the archive attached below, and explode it to extract the script that is inside.

Step 2 - Upload this script to your server, and overwrite scripts/update.php

Step 3 - Start the upgrade as usual, as described in How to achieve incremental upgrades of a YACS server?.

Pour info en 6.12 à l'étape de contrôle des nouveaux fichiers, le script renvoie une erreur :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: make_path() in 6.12\scripts\update.php on line 176
